TITLE: Senior Systems Software Engineer


JOB SUMMARY


Have you ever wanted to be at the heart of a design team at the forefront of building revolutionary video casino games? Are you good at solving complex problems and developing long-term solutions? Do you have a passion for developing software? If so, Incredible Technologies may have the position for you. We are looking for a talented individual to develop new system software for use by our game development studios as the foundation for great new games.


Job Requirements

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop and support reusable system software (libraries, APIs, abstraction layers, drivers, and firmware)
  • Work with third-parties to integrate their libraries and protocols
  • Understand and support existing code bases and maintain backwards-compatibility
  • Write efficient, solid, software including unit tests
  • Work in a team environment to supply Game Designers, Mathematicians, Artists, Sound
  • Designers, Compliance, QA, and other teams with the technologies and tools that they need to realize their creative visions
  • Work with our Quality Assurance and Field Service departments to diagnose problems
  • Interface with various engineering teams, customer-facing teams, and occasionally customers
  • Provide clear and honest status to department heads as projects progress


REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Highly motivated, self-starter, creative thinker, and team player
  • Exercise great communication skills, as well as be organized and helpful
  • Exhibit extraordinary debugging skills
  • Strong Java and C/C++ experience
  • Knowledge of common design patterns and idioms
  • TCP/IP protocols and socket-level programming
  • Knowledge of the Linux and Windows operating environments
  • Understanding of multi-threaded programming
  • Cryptography, and secure programming practices
  • Experience with version control software (Perforce preferred)
  • Fundamental understanding of mathematical probabilities and statistics
  • Pluses:
    • Industry experience
    • Virtualization environments
    • HTML/CSS, JavaScript, JSON, XML
    • USB and RS232 serial protocols
    • Low level or embedded system programming
    • Agile process experience
    • OpenGL

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years object-oriented software development experience (Java preferred)
